S9 crown does not always scroll

Jus5 had S9 for one day and while it’s very good I notice that turning the crown does not always scroll down screen sometimes nothing scrolls and other times it doesn’t checked my old 7 and it works faultlessly Does no5 seem to be loose or anything amiss
any ideas as what’s up ?
