I delete my cookies regularly but I've just discovered that 3rd party cookie blocking in Safari 11 doesn't have that option any longer. Is this correct or am I missing something.

Below is the latest advice from Apple published 6th Sept 2017 there is no option to Allow from current website only in the latest Safari 11.0.2

Choose Safari > Preferences, click Privacy, then do any of the following:

  • Change which cookies and website data are accepted: Select a “Cookies and website data” option:
    • Always block: Safari doesn’t let any websites, third parties, or advertisers store cookies and other data on your Mac. This may prevent some websites from working properly.

    • Allow from current website only: Safari accepts cookies and website data only from the website you’re currently visiting. Websites often have embedded content from other sources. Safari does not allow these third parties to store or access cookies or other data.

    • Allow from websites I visit: Safari accepts cookies and website data only from websites you visit. Safari uses your existing cookies to determine whether you have visited a website before. Selecting this option helps prevent websites that have embedded content in other websites you browse from storing cookies and data on your Mac.

    • Always allow: Safari lets all websites, third parties, and advertisers store cookies and other data on your Mac.

I still have those options with Safari 11.0.2 on Sierra 10.12.6 (16G1114).

On High Sierra, Safari 11 is different :

By default, Safari accepts cookies and website data only from websites you visit. This helps prevent certain advertisers from storing data on your Mac. You can change options in Safari preferences so that Safari always accepts or always blocks cookies and other website data.

Ah I see, it's just that I notice when I visit a site like The Guadian, that I'll have a Facebook cookie planted which is what I'm wanting to avoid. Reading the link above am I correct that Apple is saying that they will delete this cookie if I don't visit Facebook which I never would?

I'd like to be able to block all cookies except ones that I specifically allow is there any way to do this in Safari?

EDIT: this is some sort of joke, I checked the 'block all cookies' box and cleared everything out, but I still get facebook tracking cache planted. Which is probably worse than cookies. WTF apple?
