Has anyone updated to Safari 13 already? Two pretty big features are gone for me.

Two finger swipe to go back or forward seem to be broken. Is that still working for you?

Pinch to zoom is gone altogether.

I hope these have been left out by misstake and will be back soon.

I did an update to Safari 13. Turns out the Safari Extension for 1Password (version 4.7.3), that goes with the older version of 1Password, version 6.8.9, is not compatible with Safari 13. So if you've stayed with the older version rather than move up to 1Password version 7, be warned.

I was able to get back onto Safari 12 and a working extension. I'm not sure if I'll upgrade 1Password finally, or move to some other password manager.

Both features still work for me in Safari (Mojave).

The icons in 'favorites' view got bigger. I have 18 'favorites' and 12 'frequently visited', but now with the larger icons they no longer fit into the portion of the screen that displays them... Very annoying How do I get the smaller icons back?

It does indeed break 1Password extension, and also annoyingly I have lost iCloud tabs on the favourites page..

I am hoping I can copy back over Safari 12 from a recent clone?

Safari 13, latest Mojave on 2013 15" rMBP .. swipe and pinch to zoom working normally.

Safari 13 -> automatic login for websites no longer working.

That is most likely a funtion of the particular websites and when you last visited. I have a few that will periodically need to be logged in if I have not visited in a while, and some that I rarely visit that still keep me logged in. So far, all my auto logins are working, even a couple I have not visited for a few months.

That's how I got Safari 12 back. I'm glad I have been using Carbon Copy Clone, because Time Machine sure wasn't helpful this time.

Like others in this thread, it broke the 1password extension. If anyone figures out how to get Safari 12 back, please let me know!

I was upgraded to Safari 13, and discovered that the Traffic Light extension by BitDefender is no longer supported. For 1 password i had to reinstall it and restart my mac to get the 1password extension back.

Would love to know how you did this as I copied back over the Safari 12.1.2 app from the clone as well as ~/Library/Safari to try and get my extensions back and it looks like something else is still left over from Safari 13 as when you look at Top Sites or Favourites it is still the new layout (and very broken/missing iCloud tabs) - even though it says it is running Safari 12.1.2

Happy to explain in detail. I rebooted and used command-R to get into the macos Recovery mode, then selected "restore from a Time Machine backup". I selected which time I wanted to recover to, and the process began. About three quarters of the way through it informed me that Time Machine restore could not be continued due to an error. Continuing on, I discovered that my Macbook Pro was now in a, shall we say, invalid state.

So I got my other backup drive with a full Carbon Copy Clone backup on it from last week, managed to get into System Preferences to change the boot drive to the CCC backup drive. Rebooted from the backup drive, had it reinstall macOS from its recovery partition, and then copy over all my other files. Reset to boot from hard drive, rebooted, and yay, I was back with a working operating system, Safari 12, and a functional 1Password extension. (Did I kiss my backup drive in gratitude? No, no, no... yes. Yes I did.)

I don't really suggest doing it my way. But I did end up with 100GB more free disc space than I had before, even though all my apps are working and all my data files are indeed present.

Problem here too: (any?) extensions leading to beachball, whatsapp fro web too, no more tampermonkey (hence no more FB Purity) => (temporarily?) moved to Firefox

Find no longer works properly when searching for words. Do a comparison to Firefox, or any other browser, and you will see what I mean. Pathetic.

Works for me just fine…

It appears Apple has killed ad blockers in Safari 13. I can't get any of them to work.
I also saw an article posted today on ZDNET about this issue.
Has anyone upgrade to Safari 13 and have an ad blocker work?

Got 12.1.2 back.

Recovery mode > Wiped internal drive using Disk Utility > Reinstalled Mojave > Migration Assistant from a back up drive, backed up using Superduper , which I luckily did not update with Safari 13.
