Safari 3.1 can't remember anything!

Why is it when I go to a secure page that prompts me for a password, I enter it, and then Safari asks me if I want it to remember my password. I chose "Never for the site". The next time I go back, it asks me the same question all over again. It never used to do that before the 3.1 update. It's getting really annoying. What gives?

Any site that has a login, for example: ebay, paypal, .mac mail, overstock.com, my bank site...

im obviously no safari expert. but did you try

1. clear cache and cookies

2. reset safari
