Safari 3.0.4 for 10.4.11 has some annoying quirks from V.2 - wondering if anyone knows how to change these two:

-Movie files that aren't in the active tab refuse to background-load (whether in a secondary tab or window). Safari 2, Firefox, hell, IE and Netscape - pretty much every browser I've ever used - all did this without a hassle. And once loaded, if you go to another tab/window & then return, Safari 3 seems to want to re-load the movie (at least from the cache).

-Image files automatically scale to fit the window, and you have to use a magnifying glass-option to put them at actual size. I'd rather have them display at full-rez by default, like in the past.

I've scoured the (minimal) Safari prefs high and low and can't find any way to adjust these. Help is appreciated. Thanks.

I guess your best chance is waiting for 10.5.2 and hoping they fix Safari as well as they're fixing lots of other things people have been asking. You have asked Apple to fix this, haven't you? :)

Having lots of Classic apps, I can't see myself going to Leopard from Tiger until either I get a new Mac or Sheepshaver actually works. So, I guess here's hoping they'll continue to update Safari 3 as an app rather than a bundled part of the OS (hey, sounds like Microsoft...)

...and I guess I should take that to mean my 2 issues are just Safari glitches, with no way to fix?

I thought these were good things? I like to have the image scaled to fit my window, I used to hate that in safari before because if the image is high rez, I cant even see the whole thing.
The movies not loading in the background for me is great. I open a lot of tabs and hate it when the video starts playing when im not looking at that tab.
