Hi everyone!

I downloaded the Safari 3 Beta from Apple's website and installed it, I then restarted the iMac (24", base model, ,10.4.10) and when I click the dock icon to start the application the little triangle appears and then fades out.

I'm aware that this is probably due to some plugin I had for safari 2, I had Inquisitor, Speed Download Manager and 1Password (to manage my passwords).

Is there any way for me to revert Safari to a "no plugin" state and then install Safari 3, I really wanted to try out the "pop out tabs" and all the cool new stuff.

Thx in advance.

Hi,
My first mac came last night, so I'm a complete n00b. However, I was really surprised that Safari doesn't have tabbed browsing, like Firefox does. Am I missing something easy?

Also, when I have several windows of Safari open, how do I flip between these windows? Using command-tab takes me to iTunes, iPhoto, etc, but now another Safari window. Let me know if this question doesn't make sense.

You can enable Safari Tabs by going to the Menu Bar, Safari, Preferences, Go to the Tabs Section and check the box that says "enable tabbed browsing".

As for the shortcut to switch tabs, don't really know it, try cmd+tab, it may work :)

Switching between windows

To switch between windows within any application press CMND-` (in other words the apple key along with the key directly above TAB on your keyboard). To open a new tab in safari its just CMND-t, and closing a tab is just like closing a single window: CMND-w
