    Orange looks great, I hope the yellow (if that is actually it in context) will look good...

    I actually like the subtle yellow gradient better. it fits in better with Leopard's UI, anyway.

    I'm liking the subtle yellow gradient as well. The orange is getting kind of out-dated. :p

    The point is that its NOT subtle, you want it to draw the eye immediately, that is why it 'pops' out at first...

    Yellow is the adopted AJAX/Web 2.0 color to indicate an active field.
