Safari 4.0 hangs

Gave it a try but it seems to hang occasionally on familiar sites. Any hope that the production version will do better?

Nope. Beta products are usually about as good as applications get.

they can have multiple betas, if they feel necessity.

Report it as a bug, just like I did about Esc and Command+. no longer stopping page loads, even though those are the shortcuts in the menu.

For the most part, I've experienced no real issues with Safari 4

But for the OP, as others have indicated, you need to use the "bug" icon in the top right corner to report any issues

hangs here all the time. I think it is animated gifs.
