    Hi,

I was wondering if anybody could assist me in finding what I presume is a missing plugin using Safari 4 on Windows XP.

I can't stream from the radio station at this link http://www.rte.ie/radio/liveplayer_...tp://dynamic.rte.ie/av/live/radio/radio1.smil
The page loads up but the station won't stream; it just tries to connect forever.

I am having the same problem with a few BBC radio stations also, but the strange thing is I can play some of the BBC ones even though they appear to be using the iPlayer in the same way. ( I can watch programmes on the iPlayer no problem)

For example I can stream the first of these BBC radio stations but not the second.
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/console/bbc_radio_fourfm?fm
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/console/radioulster

This is the same situation on 3 different PC's I have with XP and Safari 4 I have.

I have installed Real Player Basic, Adobe Flashplayer, Air and Shockwave, MS Silverlight and Java.

    Thanks, David

Not that this post will help you but the more I use safari for windows the more I hate it. It consumes too much resources, seems to have a memory leak that brings my machine to a crawl and it crashes consistently - at least once a day.

If it wasn't for the syncing of my bookmarks from my home computer, I'd uninstall it, and I may just do that. I've run into problems with safari that I never do with firefox and gasp IE
