Extensions? I tried one. I hope it's not indicative.

I tried the Weather Channel extension. What a yawner! It's a link to the Weather Channel web page. I guess I'm used to something a little more sophisticated like Forecastbar Enhanced (on Firefox) or ForecastFox Weather (on Chrome). I'm gonna uninstall the Weather Channel extension just on the principle of not burdening the browser with useless weight.

Love the new Adblock extension. Also Safari blazes now that i can use 64bit mode.

I think they also fixed the bug that was crashing Safari. At least the extension that used to crash me constantly hasn't resulted in any crashes.

Why does Apple wait until they are publicly humiliated before acknowledging security bugs like this? They really need to lighten up on this secrecy bulls**t, it's just irresponsible.

They were made aware of it, they fixed it within ten days - what "humiliation" and what does secrecy have to do with anything? Fixing something so quickly after having it brought to their attention is the exact opposite of "irresponsible".

Well the extension was most likely the cause of the crash, i run a virgin install of safari 5 for web testing - not a single issue, no crashes - even flash runs ok(ish). Don't assume your local customisation issues are an issue with the core software, more likely your set-up needs a good long look... :)

Yeah, I agree with Nelmat- they were very quick to repair this issue- and they did not avoid it in any way.
