Hi all

I have set safari 5.0 to open when i turn my mac on which it does (kind of). The bar at the top says Safari but to get the main window open i have to go to File>New Window.

How do i get it just to open straight away.

Thanks for your help in advance.

In Accounts preferences, select Login Items to the right. Is the "Hide" checkbox checked? Also, do you have a homepage set in Safari preferences?

Ok,

Somewhere in time a "Tool Bar" application was downloaded for safari *mostly AOL networked websites have it*

Safari bar stays at the top of the screen, you quit, it gives error.

Here's the fix.

Go to /Library/Application Support/ you should see a folder called "Conduit". Delete that.

Go to /Applications/ Delete the "Toolbar" folder

Go to ~/Library/Application Support/ Delete the "Conduit" folder again.

Empty trash. Relaunch Safari (It might hang at page load) Quit then relaunch and it should work fine.

Used this trick a bunch of times, luckily I read the console log that came up that pointed to that folder.

Good luck
