Is is possible to change that thin, light, font in Safari 8's favorites bar? I just can't read the thing. Any suggestions?

Use Feedback Assistant and tell Apple it's too small... if enough people complain then perhaps they'll increase the size :)

Small Fonts

I hear you loud and clear on an iMac 27" using the native 2560x1440 scale...the system fonts are nearly impossible to read at times. The only way to view them better is to scale down to the 2048x1152 resolution. This greatly devalues the quality of the hardware's best function. Hope for a fix here!

Ive always struggled to read the names of the favorites, but I dont find it any worse in Yosemite (except whenever the translucency is grey - then its almost impossible). I too would like a change, but wouldnt it look weird if the favorite-fomt is bigger than the tab-font? Theyre the same size, right? (Currently on my ipad so i cant remember) Maybe they should incresse both in size.

Agreed, that's why I included the complaint about the font for tabs as well when sending my feedback. It looks too thin and light n Yosemite, and definitely is better on Mavericks to my eyes.

Apple botched the fonts for Yosemite. I could go on and on about the problems I have with it.

That I have done. However, the fonts on my Mbp 13" retina are okay. I guess it would be too difficult to raise the fonts on certain models as in the 27" iMacs. Overall,I feel Yosemite is quite good and I am glad to be able to give it an early run.
