Are there any ways to add things to safari? Firefox you can add a gmail extension thingy, is there a way to do this for safari? thanks!

There are plug-ins here and there. These are two of my favorites:

PithHelmet - block ads - http://culater.net/software/PithHelmet/PithHelmet.php
AcidSearch - ad items to the search bar, like in FF - http://www.pozytron.com/?acidsearch

Dunno about a G-mail extension -- I read my G-mail on Mail.

I've been using gmail status and it works with whatever browser you happen to be using.
