Noticed recently on two different iPhone pro max devices. A lot of heat being generated around the area next to the camera. This only occurs when browsing Amazon website via Safari. I’m assuming it’s a glitch .

Didn’t make a difference, only solution for me was to use a different browser.13 Pro here with similar situation, but occurs when browsing other websites on Safari.

I use AdGuard and don’t think it is working as intended. I’ll try AdBlock.forums.macrumors.com
Nothing is working for me. Very frustrating.

Just an update. Disabled some AdGuard switches and issue is resolved. So something to do with AdGuard and Adblock pro which I used before that.
Went all out nuclear option. Using iOS 15.2 with AdGuard or Adblock running. Think it resolved the issue. Still testing and result not final.I’ll try a different browser.
I’ll try that too. Like you, I was using Adblock Pro originally and now AdGuard.
I haven’t tried disabling the switches yet. I have both running as well, but on the current iOS 15.1. Still getting heat. I am convinced it is a software issue.Went all out nuclear option. Are you using an ad blocker in 15.2?It’s all good now. 15.2 is awesome ?
It’s all good now. 15.2 is awesome 🤣
Just an update. It didn’t work. Still heats up when browsing Amazon via safari. That is great to hear. I knew it was a software issue 👍

Give AdBlock Pro a try, it is free and I has done a fantastic with Safari on my 13 Pro Max. My phone stays cool all the time. And it blocks the video ads on YouTube.I had been a long time paying user of AdGuard but I had to drop it because it kept killing the battery life of my devices randomly - and not just my iOS / Apple devices but Windows laptops too. I now just use 1Blocker on my Apple devices. It is sad because AdGuard is REALLY good at blocking.
So have we ( you and I both ) proved it’s to do with using an adblocker or is it just Safari not playing well with Amazon Smile ?Ugh! When I called Apple technical support last week, they suggested that I wipe phone, plug into iTunes, restore to factory, do not sign into iTunes and use Safari. If there are no issues, then it could be a problem with my backup. Then, bring my backup back and see what happens. What a pain!
Its not just Amazon for me. Other websites. So have we ( you and I both ) proved it’s to do with using an adblocker or is it just Safari not playing well with Amazon Smile ?
I need to run more tests to come up with that conclusion I think. Moving forward, I’ll uninstall all adblocking apps and see if issue persists. Then take it from there
I deleted all adblocking apps. No more heating using Safari when browsing Amazon Smile website, was on there for 30 plus minutes earlier continuously. Its not just Amazon for me. Other websites.
I’ll follow your lead 👍
How is battery life when you browse macrumors without using an ad blocker. It is interesting that the ad blocker was causing your phone to heat up. Does not make any sense why that was happening to you using an Adblock and not me. I mainly use it to block ads, especially the ones on YouTube.I deleted all adblocking apps. Ice cold when browsing any other websites inc macrumors. Heating up has nothing to do with adblockers I posted my findings earlier. How is battery life when you browse macrumors without using an ad blocker. Divide and conquer!Scratch that. Nothing to do with adblockers still heated up.
