This afternoon I encountered a pop-up from within Safari that stated:

    http://fbi.gov.id657546456-3999456674.k8381.com

    YOUR BROWSER HAS BEEN LOCKED.

ALL PC DATA WILL BE DETAINED AND CRIMINAL PROCEDURES WILL BE INITIATED AGAINST YOU IF THE FINE WILL NOT BE PAID.

    FOR HELP CALL TOLL FREE +1 866 782 9808

Upon exiting the pop-up, I was brought to the "applescurityissue.com" website, which was a forgery of a "Safari can't connect to the server" screen, however it went on to add a phone number to call for help.

A quick WhoIs search finds the website to be registered to someone in India.

Just go to he apple in the upper left hand corner, select force quit and select Safari. Then open Safari and it will be gone. Bad porn site bull crap! Nothing to worry about!

    Have fun!

I did a force quit of Safari and it was gone. The scary thing was I had just dealt with some fraudulent charges on one of my credit cards, and I was on my CC's website checking things when this happened. After the force quit and restart of Safari it never happened again, but still...
