safari - asian fonts?

when i go to certain sites, like craigslist or wikpedia for instance, asian fonts appear. i have changed fonts in system preferences > appearance but whatever font i select, it still appears as asian fonts?

any idea what i can do to fix this?

Try going to preferences in Safari and then select appearance.

The default settings are :

STANDARD FONT Times 16
FIXED WIDTH FONT Courier 13
DEFAULT ENCODING Western (ISO Latin 1)
