Recent problem with Safari on the iPad. Whenever pressing the back page button while using Google search, Safari jumps back 2 pages instead of one. Doesn't matter how quickly or slowly I hit the back button, even a quick tap. Seems to have started after upgrade to 4.2.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Mine goes back one page to the google search page but it's blank. Once I refresh, it shows the search links again.

I also get the spinning icon right next to my wifi signal running repeatedly even though the page is fully loaded. I get that once in a while.

Yes, this sounds like an instant search problem. With instant search turned on Google searches for results as you type, which means that no other page is loaded when you've finished typing your search term as the results are already visible. As such, hitting the back button will go back to the previous site you visited before you went to Google. To stop this happening, turn off instant search.
