Did a search and found nothing so I am asking for help.

Switching from FF now that Apple has seen the light and is allowing for left sidebar vertical bookmarks.

I have two questions.

First, can the weird blue/white on a gray background be changed? Those of you not over 60 won't understand but its impossible to read comfortably. A white background would work.

Second, the width of the sidebar wastes about 3/4" on the left side that could be used for actual content. It will not allow me to minimize further. Is there a way to minimize the unused left side space?

doesn't look like you can change the colour of the bookmarks left hand nav. But of course you could choose just not to show it. Have you considered using the regular bookmarks bar?

Or Firefox has lots of custom skins available

I figured out there is no ay to change the color. I have used FF since 2004 or so. I like the sidebar book mark approach and only reason I am trying Safari is the new sidebar. It appears slower than FF but does a better job of replicating screens from sites.

Since i originally posted this, I have given up on both Safari and Mail and just gone back to FF and TB. Why fight it. :)
