Since installing Sierra my bookmarks have disappeared from Safari. Favourites are still listed but there is now a folder on the desktop with my original bookmarks -- in alphabetical order and not as i had sorted them. I rebuilt a new folder call Bookmarks but it disappeared by the next time i used safari. Any ideas ?

Not exactly ! I simply added a new bookmarks entry and then added links by going to the actual urls from the 'new' bookmarks folder and then 'Add Bookmark". However , as I said , the new bookmarks entry disappeared next time I used Safari!!

My question was "can you" not "did you". I would have to search Apple's site to figure out how to Import from a file, and to know what and where that file is.
