Is there some type of extension I can download to have a layout of say 10 or so of my most frequented website/bookmarks on top?

Unless theres some workaround to get to your bookmarks do you really have to click open the side panel, then click highlight your bookmark, and then go to the middle of the page and click it? It seems a ridiculous amount of steps and is the main reason I'm using Chrome.

Safari --> Preferences -->Bookmarks -->Bookmarks menu
is there a tick next to Include Bookmarks Bar?
If not tick it. If there is you need to save your most used sites to the Bookmarks Bar - not the Bookmarks menu.
