Safari Browsing in Landscape No Longer Shows Time Etc. At Top

Before if you were browsing in landscape mode, and hit the title bar, the time, battery life etc. would appear. It seems to have been removed in iOS 8. It still appears in portrait mode, but has it been removed altogether in landscape?

Works in all of Apple's apps (they need to be optimized). Top bar also appears to have slightly shrunk. Altogether the top bar is now only half the height compared to iOS 7.
