I never thought I’d say this as I’ve been surfing the internet on a Mac for over 10 years but over the last week it seems like there are more and more ads or spambots on almost every website I go to. I’ve been surfing tonight for only 2 hours and it’s been completely miserable, always wanting me to update some adobe flash or other nonsense. Most of the time I suit the net on my iPhone. I remember years ago laughing at everyone else with PC’s and them dealing with all those anti viruses and bad malware, so has the evil Internet just caught up to the Mac platform? Right now all I’m doing in surfing Safari and my Macbook Air is already getting hot underneath. I also have Google Chrome to surf, maybe that's the answer. I don’t get this at all… Or is it just me?

Those are website-related, nothing to do with your browser or OS. Just install Adblock+ (or stop visiting those dodgy sites).

Chrome will drain your battery faster than Safari.
