Safari: can't login to eBay Belgium

i can't (never could btw) login to eBay belgium (ebay.be) using safari. in firefox, everything works fine.

i can log in to ebay.com using safari though.

pretty annoying issue. does anyone know a solution?

p.s. when trying to log in, i don't get an error message. after clicking 'log in' the same page just opens up again or it bounces back to ebay.be ...

I can login to eBay.be without any problem using Safari 3.1.2.

Normally I use Firefox too but no problem here....
