Anyone have any idea why safari can't open Facebook? I get this message...

"Safari can't open http://www.facebook.com because safari can't establish a secure connection"

every other page works and facebook works fine in firefox. this started about a month ago and its starting to annoy me.

Is your OS X system fully up to date?

The simple fix is to ignore Safari, and use Firefox for Facebook 😀
Looks like some users cannot fix without reinstalling OS X (which is not really a big deal, just needs a couple of hours to do.)
As with any reinstall, if you feel that you need to do that - you should be sure to have a full just-in-case backup.

im not reinstalling to get this working again. Im on a hackintosh totally not worth it ill just use firefox. Just so random that it started out of nowhere. worked fine for years.

Facebook has recently started doing this to me. I repeatedly try to open it, only to get the 'Failed to open' message.

I have tried EVERYTHING to remedy this: refreshing Safari, using Firefox - EVERYTHING. None of it works. If, by some miracle, Facebook manages to open, after repeated attempts, I find it only allows me to view for a short while, before failing to function. THEN, if I try to reload, I get the error message again, and have to start the whole God-damned cycle over again.

WHEN ARE THEY GONG TO ****ING FIX THIS?????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
