I've noticed that I can no longer use Command-C to copy text on a webpage. Instead, I have to go to the menu to do it. You can see that option is greyed out in the screen shot. Anyone know how to resolve this?

Running MacOS 12.6.5 and version 16.4.1 Safari.

The keyboard shortcuts shown on the right side of the menus are always greyed out now. It has been that way since Big Sur, so nothing is wrong there.

The word 'Copy' isn't greyed out, so the shortcut should be working. Have you verified Safari has focus when doing the keyboard shortcut? Or restarted the Mac? I assume the other Command key shortcuts are still working?

I get what you're saying and in other apps it appears the same way as in the screen shot above. I can use key strokes for cut, copy and paste in every other application, but for some reason I am unable to use keystrokes in Safari when wanting to copy some text on a webpage. I have to go through the menu.

I've tried restarting, terminal quitting the pboard and even an update to the MacOS to 12.6.6 and Safari 16.5.

*After further investigation the issue seems to be related to the MSN website and all links to news stories within it. Might be time to setup an different home page.
