Safari crashes and returns to desktop

My wifes Mac, when she is on a website and begins to enter financial data for a purchase, crashes and reverts to the desktop.

Happens to any and all websites.

Any thoughts?

Hello Ed,

In this situation I would reset Safari as a first step.
