Is anyone else having this problem. If I rotate from portrait to landscape, the browser will inevitably bomb back to the home screen within a few seconds once I start scrolling. It's infuriating and happens so often that I would say landscape browsing is essentially unusable. 1GB of RAM I hope is not the issue! It should have had 2GB!

I haven't had such a problem, and don't imagine it's RAM related. More likely a bug in the software brought on by a specific combination of actions. What firmware are you on? 8.1?

Software bug, as soon as you rotate it to landscape mode, click the "book/bookmark" symbol to remove the bookmark window. After I did that, I never had this issue again.

The bookmark window isn't up for me when I do this tho. I'm literally just rotating a webpage (like this one here) and scrolling down the page. Crashes back to the springboard every time.

same thing was happening to me. apple store replaced the phone and i brought the new one home and same thing was happening. found this thread and tried the bookmark thing and it seems to alleviate the issue temporarily. problem came back several times after. think i'm going to wait for the next software release before bringing the phone back to apple.

That's pretty interesting because once I turned the bookmark thing off, it stayed off, and I never had the issue again, until I turned it back on to see what happened. I still keep it off, everything is fine in that regard.

I tried multiple websites and couldn't make it happen once. Maybe it's some combination of settings that's making it happen.

This seems to work for me because I was experiencing the same issue while viewing web sites in landscape mode.

Thanks for the tip!

Have you turned on Reduce Motion? Mine is on and I can't reproduce this issue on my Plus.

Safari crashes when rotated to landscape on iPhone 6 plus

I noticed that when I rotate my Plus to landscape, the phone starts to bend. Anyone else notice this?

Never experienced this problem. It does seem like there are some rough edges in the 6 Plus's software implementation, but hopefully they will be ironed out with updates.
