I just discovered a weird bug that I’ve been able to reproduce on 2 iPhones and 1 iPad all running 16.1.1. Open safari and use the address bar to search for ”verizon international.” As soon as I hit the space bar after typing verizon safari crashes. Can anyone else confirm they‘re seeing the same?

I was trying to search verizon international data and got frustrated it kept crashing which prompted me to check other devices.

Thanks. Very weird. Not sure what exactly crashes it but veriz plus a space is enough to crash it as well.
I just tried resetting website settings, and closed all tabs, and then Safari crashed about 5 times when trying to open. Seems serious.

EDIT: I’m on iPad Pro, also will verify on iPhone once that update is finished (I started it before realizing this issue).

I don’t have any issues after I restart safari assuming I don’t try searching for Verizon + anything else again lol.

Works fine on my iPhone and iPad.

Could be an extension or corrupt cache. "Safari Suggestions" on and maybe causing issues (off on mine)? Which search engine is on (DDG on mine)? Lots of tabs?

I've got my Safaris setup to only remember last 30 days of history and only one extension (Ad Guard) and have never run into these issues in the past or currently. Also usually no more than four tabs open.

(ADD: best buy search works for me as well)

Safari suggestions is the winner. If I turn that off the crashing stops. Weird.
