Hi All,

What is everyone’s advice on getting safari to default websites to dark mode. Some websites offer this but its not a default across iOS 15. An example being news.bbc.co.uk which does not offer ‘dark mode’

is there an extension that offers default ‘dark mode’

I use Noir Safari extension. It's not perfect but it works really well and the developer updates the app often with improvements.

Thank you. One question for you. iOS states that if you enable this extension it will ‘’have access to all information, websites and passwords you enter’’ - Doesn’t this concern you?

No, I'm not concerned. That message is generic and a little misleading. This extension, or any extension that modifies website code in order to work and will have this warning. Noir needs to access the webpage code to modify it so it renders in dark mode.

The concern would be if the extension is sending data back data to the developer. The app says the developer doesn't collect any data and I tend to believe it until otherwise proven wrong.
