I have MacBook Pro early 2013 running Sierra 10.12.3

I can play You Tube videos using Firefox and Chrome browsers, however in Safari I can select and play one video just once, having played a video any subsequent attempt just says 'Error"

If I close the browser and open it again I can play another video, but any further attempt says "Error again, unless I close the browser again.

I have completely uninstalled the Adobe Flash Player and reinstalled it correctly, but the problem persists.

    Any ideas please ?

With Sierra and Safari, Youtube shouldn't be using Flash Player at all. It will default to the HTML5 player. Does playback work if the Flash Player is completely uninstalled?

That's true chrfr, HTML is displayed on videos for me to click. However I think I have just fixed it by switching off Click to Flash . You Tube seems ok now.

I used to use ClicktoFlash but it got very erratic so I've given it up. Now, I don't even have Flash Player installed. If there's a rare occasion I need it, I'll launch Chrome.
