i have some strange effect going on with safari.

it's window flashes once every time i access a website. very annoying.

by flashing i mean the effect looks like when you select a different app and the window-ui becomes brighter (inactive look) and then it switches quickly to active state.

this happens every time by itself without me obviously switching apps.

any idea what's going on and how to fix it?

no it's actually not that problem.

my problem isn't content-related (as in that video) or with other apps. it's only with safari and the effect doesn't affect the content but the app window itself.

as explained above, every time i access a new website safari window quickly goes inactive and then active again (aka "flashing") and i have no idea why.

unfortunately i can't find a way to re-install safari since it seems that once you have the latest version you have to stick with it until a new one comes out.

any idea if there is a way to re-install it though?

I've had that problem with finder windows while it tries to generate video preview thumbnails to turn them into icons.
