That seemed to the trick... and then restarting the phone. I was getting upload and download rates of under 10MB/s at best... usually under 5MB/s. Now, the speedtest is showing speeds between 15 and 19 MB/s. I'm on Verizon FIOS. (My wired connection speeds are over 80MB/s!)
