Only at MacRumors, not other sites?

Is the problem for www.macrumors.com, forums.macrumors.com, or both?

Same thing happens to me sometimes. I always figured it was a server problem.

    Safari hang

For me, Safari hangs on lots of sites. Especially, financial sites. Renders poorly on lots of sites (including apple.com). But in this case macrumors and forums induce the hang consistently, say three out of five times. With occassional streaks either way.

Does the site do the same thing with other browsers?

    Other browsers?

I've been testing this unscientifically today and, yes, but not as consistently. Camino and Firefox have the problem occasionally; Opera and Sea Monkey rarely.

I suppose my surprise is that Macrumors and Safari would not work together reliably. Little too ironic for me. But I'd also like to fix it. The need to match browsers to sites after a fair number of years of "web as infrastructure" is a bit disappointing.

I'm beginning to suspect that Leopard is also a contributing issue..

there are more ironic problems with safari+MR as I gradually learned.

    1. WYSIWYG editor of MR doesn't work in safari
    2. safari always reload part of the history page in MR, so it slows down considerably.
