Yosemite 10.10.2. (14C106a) though it's been going on for a few versions now.

I keep getting this popup when I'm trying to play a sound file from Wiktionary.org. I put it on my whitelist and the popup still comes up.

Anyone else having the same issue?

Java security blocking an untrusted application – URL?

Alerts such as that are not specific to Safari, not specific to Yosemite. People might see something similar on Windows, for example:

You may wish to use the Java Control Panel (click the Java pane of System Preferences) to trust the blocked application, but only if it's trustworthy.

What's the URL of the page from where the sound file appears to be served?

Hmmm. I have added the necessary sites to the exceptions list through the Java control panel. Everything is fine in Firefox but I still get that same popup blocking me on Safari.

Anyone else experiencing this?

The page I'm trying to access is any definition page on http://www.wiktionary.org that has a pronunciation sound file. Example: http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/knife

Have you tried setting the application to trusted?

You mean setting Safari as trusted? I don't see an option for that.

The only option is safe-listing and I put these sites on but to no avail (in Safari).
