Safari - How to always hide bookmarks bar?

In Snow Leopard, the Safari Bookmarks Bar had the option to always be hidden. In Lion's fullscreen mode, even though there is an option to always show the bar, there is no way to hide it even during rollover of the menu bar.

Is there a way to fix this?
