safari icon??

i just bought a new macbook with SL installed. i have tried to search these forums for the past 10 minutes to find an answer...no luck

how do i remove the safari icon on the dock. it wont lemme trash it or put elsewhere but dock...i use firefox...dont want the safari icon!

Simply click and drag it from the dock. A simulated cloud appears and it'll disappear.

nope. i think im going to bring into genius bar...hate safari!

Click and hold the safari icon in the dock - a menu should pop up. Select "Options," then click "Keep in Dock" (there should be a checkmark next to it).


Done and done.
