i have the screen to the highest rest which is 2440x

but I've read if i take this down to 1920x1080p the menu font size will be better, is there another way
as i quite like the higher resolution across the mac, rather then to change it just or safari use

thanks

Are you using an iMac or Cinema display or another brand of display? The 27" iMac display native resolution is 2560 x 1440. If you lower the resolution it should make everything larger including the menus, however, you may introduce some distortion. If you just want to increase the menus and overall look in Safari, you can do that without messing with the resolution of your monitor. You can make everything larger in Safari by using a "Style Sheet" and set it to zoom at whatever level you wish. Here's a sample of a Style Sheet that sets the zoom level to 150%

body {
zoom: 150%;
}

You can create it with TextEdit and name it "zoom.css" and then annotate it in Safari Preferences under Advanced, Style Sheet. Place the style sheet file in your home folder. Then every time you run Safari, the style sheet will zoom everything in Safari making menus and the content larger. This works well on a 27" monitor but definitely not for smaller monitors.

hi there I've tried that style sheet it doesn't work for me, strange...
the menu bar, favourite bar is still small fonts... the thing with chrome browser it would adjust it automatically to fit websites and the menu bar is quite visible with my favourites, in safari i have to squint to read....

You could try setting your 27" iMac resolution to "scaled" and play around with the settings but like I indicated previously, that may introduce some distortion. The alternative is to use Chrome or Firefox as your browser instead of Safari.

I think the OP is referring to Safari font size in menus and tabs. There is currently no way to increase the font size for those items that I have found, which is why I have to use Chrome.
