Hey everyone, yesterday my second 12 Pro Max was delivered. It's updated to the latest IOS 14.2.1. I replaced it a day before because of a quite annoying issue with Safari. Unfortunately, the new one behaves absolutely the same. When I use either the back button or swipe gesture to go back while browsing, it brings me back (jumps) to the top of the previous page where I was. I suppose it’s a kind of a Safari cache memory problem. I contacted Apple Support. They advised me to do the following steps. Thanks guys
Clear the history website data
Force restart
Reset the device in Settings by Erase all content and settings
Factory restore via cable connected to my MacBookPro and set up as new iPhone

I know this is an old post, but this is happening to me on iOS 14.4.2 with Safari and Firefox.

Anyone else?

Well it seems it's an issue with Safari and can only be corrected by restoring your device and setting up as new without using your backup... At least that's what fixed the OP's phone

Still happening on FF. Anyone else?

I have deleted the app and reinstalled.
