Hi all, I think safari has a habit eats memory. I did a few routine tasks with safari, nothing special, opened a few web pages, non of them contain videos. Then I closed up all windows, checked the sources used, here is what it showed in Activity Monitor.

Unless you're running low on HD space that doesn't seem worrying at all... You know there's a BIG difference between real and virtual memory, right?

BTW: Did some (or all) of the Safari pages contain flash (or other interactive) contents, like flash ads or java/flash games?

EDit: But, yes, I also think Safari is a bloated memory hog... that's one of the reasons why I use Firefox... ;) :D

Safari is a memory hog, its known, but to be fair all browsers will eventually start hogging memory up when you have many tabs/windows open.....

Give Camino a try...
