I get an error on any and every website I attempt to connect to with Safari. It essentially reads that Safari is unable to locate the server. My internet connection is fine as I have other non-browser programs running that are connected just fine. I can switch over to Windows XP and use Chrome just fine, however Chrome in OSX gives a similar error message.

I've tried everything I know to do and everything I've found online including messing with my DNS settings and adding public DNS to my list and it hasn't changed or corrected this issue at all. Juding from the amount of topics I was able to find with this same issue with a quick Google search I have to think that there was a universal fix for this issue but I've been unable to find one.

Please help, I really don't want to wipe my MacBook over this.

Thank you for the quick response but it didn't correct the issue. Any other thoughts or advice?
