Safari issues

Is anybody else having performance issues with Safari under the Sierra GM? Opening Safari when it's fully closed instantly opens a window - however, soft close that window and re-opening another comes with a ~2s delay as does opening and closing new tabs. This is on a recent top-spec MBP.

Lots of problems when quitting Safari since the latest beta.

1. Perform a safe boot
2. restart, boot normally
3. retry Safari.

If the problem persists, then please use Terminal to run the second command that is offered at http://apple.stackexchange.com/a/39471/8546

I have no issues with Safari because I use Firefox, Safari only rarely to view videos since I have flash disabled in Firefox. It seems to work okay on those occasions.
