I want to block websites based on keywords. Anyone know of a way to do this?
You could be throwing the baby out with the bath water, so to speak, and end up blocking sites you didn't intend to block. A legitimate site you may want to visit might contain a word that would cause it to be blocked. Most ad blockers that I know of, including SafariBlock, Safari AdBlock and GlimmerBlocker, allow for custom filters.

It's more or less key phrases that I'd be blocking.

There are several content blocking extensions available for Safari that you can use to block websites based on keywords. Some popular options include:

  1. AdBlock: This extension blocks ads and other unwanted content from websites. It allows you to create custom filters to block specific types of content, including content that contains certain keywords.
  2. Ghostery: This extension blocks tracking scripts, analytics, and other types of unwanted content from websites. It allows you to view and block specific types of content, including content that contains certain keywords.
  3. 1Blocker: This extension blocks ads, tracking scripts, and other unwanted content from websites. It allows you to create custom rules to block specific types of content, including content that contains certain keywords.
  4. uBlock: This extension blocks ads, tracking scripts, and other unwanted content from websites. It allows you to create custom filters to block specific types of content, including content that contains certain keywords.
To use these extensions, you will need to download and install them from the App Store, and then enable them in Safari. Once enabled, the extensions will block websites that contain the specified keywords or phrases whenever you use Safari. Keep in mind that content blocking extensions may not be able to block all websites that contain the specified keywords or phrases.
