loved this little extension to shortkey searches and now doesn't work in safari 12. any replacements?

Loved it too. I’ve been browsing since early Mojave betas but there’s not much and a few terrible ones. I’ve settled on safari “omnikey” for now, but it’s a bit clunky. Let me know if you find something better.

Yep, and "Sessions" is dead, too. I downgraded back to Safari 11, as I can't live without it.

But two thoughts on Omnikey:

1. It's from a hobbyist developer. If it's clunky, engage with him, encourage and test him to fix what's wrong. Don't just sit back and complain, it's not Excel.

2. Can't imagine how it works in Safari 12, as Apple has turned off manipulation of URL field from Safari extensions.

Not so much complaining, as much as commenting on it's general usability vs, safarikeywordsearch. I just find the methodology of adding new indexes to be more cumbersome, which I use infrequently, and I'm happy a hobbyist has bothered as much as he has. Otherwise fully functional in my experience. No idea how it works in 12 but I've been using it on Mojave for a while now. Looks like just basic JS in the source only, so maybe just the API method for manipulating the field is gone, but I'm no expert.

Side note, I was just laughing at excel/microsoft and their inability to fix mass reported bugs dating back to 2012 (image scaling on print).

Just tried Omnikey on Safari 12.0 / Mojave. It works perfectly. Now I'm using Omnikey as a SafariKeywordSearch replacement.
