safari lags while surfing

Hello, I'm a new subscriber , I hope is the right place for my thread. I have a MacBook Air 2018 with 128 gb ssd and 8 gbs of ram, but when I surf on the internet safari sometimes lags a lot, especially when I go back to a page and I try scroll down, it lags for a while and also the cursor doesn't change icon when I put it on a link, it should become a hand instead of the usual arrow... I want to say that I don't have so many tabs opened and I use this MacBook just for internet and easy softwares...have you ever had this problems?? thank you...

I just bought the same MBA 128. What's done is done. I've experienced lag while surfing as well. I hope to expand to 16 gb ram, if that is possible. I am already watching my storage. I seldom store movies. I may rent one, but that is it. Right now I am sifting through all the information on external drives and such.

Use brave, I think its just safari. I have the same experience as well.
