Safari not saving user names/passwords

After recently updating my iMac to OS X 10.5.6, Safari doesn't seem to always keep my site user names, and/or sometimes passwords. I find myself having to re-enter information I have not had to do for months. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Menu Bar: Safari, Preferences, Autofill, tick the box you want.

Wish it were that easy. Some sites do not seem to get added to the autofill list. Why would that be?
