Anyone else having an issue with safari not determining location e.g Google maps etc ?
Built in apps are working. Apple maps , location based time setting etc.
Any work around , ideas would be appreciated.

I have already spent more than a week losing my time with the apple support that after requesting a data collection of my Mac Mini 2018, they decided to ask me to take my PC to someone who has an internet provider different from my and test whether location services will work (here no internal system service is able to determine my location)

I am having this issue, but only for Apple apps (Safari, Find My, Weather, Clock Time Zone detection, Maps)
All allowed to Location Services.

If I use FireFox and access to the Google Maps, it detects my location but not with Safari

MacOS Catalina 10.15 (19A602)
MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013)

Did yall get any more info on this? For a long time, I have had trouble with my desktop iMac not finding location (which means no maps, no weather in the notification bar, no calendar alerts to leave by a certain time, auto switch between light and dark made and nightshift). I tried chatting with Apple but it was a terrible experience. Couldn't help me then basically said we don't know whats wrong.

After some weeks location services became available, I think apple just had issues with the "migration?" to Catalina, who knows...

regards

I reset the Pram (the one that you hold down command option p r) and i location services (time zone, weather, etc) worked for a few minutes. I opened Maps and the blue dot found me. A minute or so later the dot turn from blue to gray, and then it said the usual "maps cannot determine your location).

You can check the Location items on your Mac to see if Safari is enabled. You may refer to the link below.

Note: The steps may change depending on the version of MacOS you're using.
