Everytime I try to open Safari a black screen pops up and just stays there. No webpage loads or anything but I know it's not frozen because I can still control the music by pressing the home button twice. Does anyone know what is going on?

Usually a simple restart would fix these little bugs, if that doesn't work, you may need to backup your data(music, video, apps) and perform a restore (from itunes).

Found the answer!!!!!

No restoring through itunes or any of that is necessary, I was completely freaked out when i couldn't use safari. All i had to do was turn it off and turn it back on- problem solved!
