not sure where to put this issue.when on safari in particular a home page that I use, refdesk,
if I open a window to look at some thing it seems another window opens up in a paragraph form almost like a quick synopsis of what the link would encompass, from other than ref desk.
I click the mouse in open field and it disappears and resumes back to the original ref desk link., not even sure if I em explaining correctly.um, yea drives me crazy, kinda.

I'm not sure if that is what you mean, but if you force click on a link (press harder) safari opens a preview window of that link.

velocityg4,i have no extension loaded thru the Apple icon upper left, also checking extensions on safari also upper left I get a page where I can purchase/download.
Meuti, I read the second half of your answer,"preview". so I tried pressing links hard, tried pressing links soft.
like my son I have a heavier than normal typing hunt n peck style.
but the "preview" of the link still appears.can I stop that?
thank you both for calls reponses

I believe if you turn off Force Touch in your System Preferences the previews will be turned off. In System Preferences navigate to "Trackpad", "Point&Click" and remove the tick on the bottom before "Force Click and Haptic Feedback).

I unchecked Force Click, same
I failed to mention I am using bluetooth mouse i had gotten for my older Mac book pro.battery op.
also the link begins to load, then the preview appears.
still

Unless you can adjust the settings for your bluetooth mouse maybe I'm out of ideas, sorry. I hope someone else comes up with a solution.

all help is appreciated.its not hindering the laptop performance at all, just annoying
thanks again
