My son is running the beta version but when he presses the home button twice to open up the tray, it shows as the usual layout in iOS 6.

Is their some setting to change to show this new open tab layout !

Double pressing the home button isn't related to Safari tabs, those are two different things--one shows all the running/recent applications and the other one simply shows the open browser tabs/pages within Safari.

One tap on the lower right icon in page view gives you the open tabs layer look. The icon changes to "Done" so you can return to the current tab or any other open tab.

Double tapping the home button brings up multitasking, not open Safari tabs...
