new Mac user here - can I somehow turn off prompts in safari to autofill password? I'd like it to autofill all website passwords without prompting for my Mac ID password. Same thing for other apps like App Store when installing apps

Thanks

So no setting I can possibly modify? Been a pain and this is a secondary computer (not really much security needed). Thanks

No user accessible settings. Apple tends to be quite conservative when it comes to downgrading security settings.

Consider trying a different browser or password manager as they often provide more customizable options.

Try going into Settings -> Touch ID & Password -> turn off 'Use Touch ID for autofilling passwords. You still have to click to autofill but it won't ask you to authenticate.
